The Sheikh Who Listens To Metal Also Wants To Ban Elissa, Haifa, and Nancy

One religious Sheikh took to Twitter to attack some ladies who like to sing and made a career out of entertainment. Meet Fadel Suliman, a preacher who spreads the message of Islam took an interesting turn when he attacked three lead pop stars. (The story can be read here in Arabic)

Mr. Fadel admitted to liking Hard Metal in his youth he would go to concerts to enjoy this kind of heavy metal rock. However Heavy Metal Rock has a crappy name in Arabia as many marry it to devil worshiping. So the sheikh defended heavy metal and argued that going to concert for Elissa, Hiafa, and Nancy Ajram is closer thing to worshiping Satan.

The religious figure disagrees with people who want to ban Heavy Metal like the calls in Egypt now as some calls have been made to cancel concerts at the El Sawy Culture Wheel (more here). He defends his favorite kind of music yet attacks people for going to female concerts. Fadel belongs to the Muslim brotherhood and has made similar calls in the past about certain female singers. He has even doubled down and attacked other Lebanese songstress like Marwa and Nicole Saba.

Fafel Suliman is a Muslim preacher who comes to the United States and talks about Islam, he has authored a number of books on his religion of choice.

Why is making this case now and why is he only picking on entertainers form Lebanon are my questions.

As Always, Magida El Roumi Stays Classy

Lebanese composer Melhim Barakat was reported to have been feeling not too happy about his song not being made the lead song of the album. His song was made the lead song, it's the number one song in the album and yes, it's a great song where the composer does an incredible job.

But in Mr. Barakat's world, he wanted the song to be the promo song--the one all radios will play to drum up marketing for the new album. Magida has maintained her position of respect love and appreciation for this composer. She was asked about the feud and has taken the high road. She has akways made classy music and that was personal because she is a classy lady.

This is a great album that did not had a perfect release date due to the ongoing ever changing Arab world. Watch this report about her concert in Lebanon, she attended the press conference for the Batroun International Music Festival. Go forth Magida and keep your head high, you make good music and let those critics who want to make names for themselves by bashing you.

The Most Famous Arab Celebrities' Scandals أشهر فضائح لفنانين وفنانات العرب

In American they have sex tapes, recorded voices messages, and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They also have one star who likes to steal things, and there are many who go to rehab to address problems with drugs, alcohol, and exhaustion.

Let's visit Arabia and see what the Arab stars have for us in store, it seems that with the spotlight, so many Arab stars get caught in scandals or trouble with the press.

1. A leaked video of Nancy Ajram at a beauty shop where her privates where being taken care of by a professionals. This was bad and we still love Nancy... 
2. Egyptian dancer turned actress, had a leaked sex tape with her husband--on papers, not a real marriage. They were in the bedroom doing the nasty and it was a vivid video that shocked the Arab press for which Dina wore the head cover for a while.
3. Lebanese TV personality, singer and actress, Rozan Al Moghraby was the star of a privet video where she was around a lot of beer and performing sexual acts on some dude while joking and teasing. This has torpedoed her career.  
4. Lebanese super star and media darling had pictures of her in bikini by the pool side leaked to the internet and off course who does not want a little peak? 
5. Egyptian actress Ziena, was a guest of a TV show when her dress got tangled and her dress came off a bit revealing her bra for everyone to see.
6. Syrian singer and TV personality was a guest of Star academy, doing a song when her tight jeans got ripped from the front in the middle of her segment, revealing a prime real estate.  
7. Egyptian actress trying to be singer Mena Fadaly had a birthday party and it was a crazy party attended by so many celebrities, Mena's pictures leaked to the press and the pictures revealed too much, and humiliated the singer and most of her parting guests. That was a big deal.
8. Kuwaiti singer Jawad Al Ali cannot catch a break, while a guest on a live she, come dude called in and called him gay and asked him to perform an act of sexual nature. Poor Jawad, that must have been an awkward exchange.   
9. Moroccan singer, Laila Ghofran--an other wise great vocalists was the star of a video where she was doing a steamy dance bit and sitting on her boyfriend (friend who is a boy) feet.
10. Lebanese singer/actress Marwa was doing an appearance at a primer of one of her movies, and the fans outnumbered what her guards can handle and it was reported she was harassed--some stupid people out there blame the dress she was wearing.
11. Again Lebanese Marwa was the star of a leaked footage from one of her movies where she was almost naked in the shower--this was a big deal later year. It seemed that the director leaked it and since then Marwa has been cleared.  
12. Egyptian actress Hanan Turk was caught in the middle of a scandal with prostitution and all that,  I think she served jail time, then it turned out she was innocent and the whole ordeal was a set up.
13. Tamer Hosny sang for Egypt and how much he loved it, then it turned out he forged documents to get out of the military service. He cliams innocence and that he was tricked into doing that. He did a jail time and since then he has been a tool for the armed forced in Egypt.
14. TV host Hala Sarhan had guests on her show who claimed to be prostitutes in Egypt and they have given so much details. The segment was a big hit and upset a lot of people. WE are told later that Hala hired some actress to pose as hookers. Hala would flee to Dubai and stays there until the Mubarak regime fell apart
15. Egyptian actor and activist Khalid Abu El Naga was the star of a video where he was marrying one of his lady friends on the beach--I do not know what this one is a scandal.
16. Libyan singer Ali Hamida was arrested for molesting a little boy in Egypt and he served time in jail, he would be a nobody after he once was the hottest boy of Arab pop in the 80s. He certainly had the coolest hair. 
17. Star Academy and its participants had a lot of scandals about footage for females changing clothes and males and females getting cozy with one another. See the video below.

The Arab Celebrities Twitter Scandal

There's a dozen of news reports that have been made public about a number of Arab celebrities buying fans and followers on the world wide web.  Tamer Hosny was the guy who got the most heat last year--after calming a million follower most of whom were computer bots.

Here are some hard numbers that are true as of today

1. Elissa has 442 thousand followers on Twitter
2. Haifa Wahbe has 336 followers on the same network
3. Nawal Al Zoghby has 267 thousand
4. Nancy Ajram 255 thousand followers
5. Najwa Karam has 226 K followers
6. Myriam Faris has 147 thousand followers 

Few weeks later, we hear more dirt about other Arab celebrities who have been Linked to fake Twitter and Facebook accounts. Najwa Karam had to answer questions about the same subject. Elissa had to deal with increased attacks from Haifa Wahbe fans who have spilled the beans on all the fake followers for the Lebanese diva. Read here in Arabic on Khabar 3ajilThe accusations started with attacks like those followers are not Arab nor they speak Arabic, so why would they be following an Arabic pop star. Others claim such fake fans have no engagement level and no activities online that would indicate they are for real.

Elaph also reported on the scandal, according to a number of companies, you can purchase a 100 thousand followers for about 5 thousands dollars. Nawal Al Zoghby is another singer who has been accused of buying fake fans and followers. Elaph seemed to have done the most research on this topic and they have followed it very closely.

Of course the celebrities are defending themselves against those attacks and accused their foes of being jealous of their success. I think the reality is more complex than that, but it would not be a far fetched scenario for those celebrities to have a mixed bag of fake and real followers.

The Cute Shatha Hassoun And Elissa Feud

Elissa might have the heart of a child, Shatha Hassoun has that Iraqi bold boiling through her veins. When they cross paths, the world collide. We have heard the story about the two starlets staying in the same hotel--one had many fans out waiting for her, the other did not. The media caught win of the story, they made it a big deal.

In a Beirut concert, the media caught up with the Iraqi singer Shatha and spoke to her about her projects and upcoming events. Shatha is a talented singer with one of the most committed fans out there. Unlike many singers, she can claim two big Arab countries as her home...both Iraq and Morocco.

She is no fans of Elissa's and thinks that she has seen the history of that singer since she seems to pick fights with others. Shatha refused to say anything about the Elissa's new album--even though she has criticized the album cover before. I like both singers, they seem to do similar songs--Shatha does a bigger variety of songs than Elissa, but Elissa has a well established brand

Elissa remains silent on this matter, but Shatha is also smart, she said she likes some of Elissa's songs, not all of them. Keep in mind, both songstress work under the same Rotana label. Shatha and Elissa might not be the best friends out there, but whatever competition they have might help make their music better and their songs more real.

Is Lebanese Singer Elissa Really That Happy?

Elissa gave an interview few days ago where she said, had she wanted to get married, she would have done so a very long time ago. She wishes her latest album to win another world music award--she already has won three titles. Then she spoke about the album being a winner. While most of her fans and critics agree, the album is really sad.

It's too much for the moment when we see death all around  us due to revolutions and what's not. People needed something happy, not 8 tracks of drama breakups and tragedy. Then her concert in Algeria almost got canceled, and not a word was mentioned--we had a leaked photo from the concert for Elissa. But no one wrote much about it.

Elissa is still single by choice--I do not think this is a good thing. She has picked some fights most recently with Haifa Wahbe and Shatha Hassoun. But she has also performed in a Beirut concert. Before she got on the stage Bassem Faghali mocked her on stage--she was cool this time. Among the attendees were Eli Saab- a fashion designer she loves; Wael Kfoury he buddy and pal; Simone Asmar--the guy who discovered her; Siham Shis'asha who has written a number of songs for Elissa; Joumana Abu Eid, the TV personality.

Elissa made a good album, the jury is still out on it. in the concert she had glow, and she showed some serious cleavage. The concert had many surprises including inviting the composer of one of the latest songs in her album. Wael turned down an invitation form Elissa to get up on the stage and do a song with her.

The Songs That Made Elissa's Career

This was not her first hit neither was it her first song. Before this track Elissa has been making music video for at least three years. Then came this song and everyone was thinking the same thing, When did Elissa learn how to do all this? In her music video Ayshalak--which she filmed in Paris, she manged to put sext back in style and look so good.

The way the music video was shot was bold at the time, with those extreme closeups and various shots glued together to make a hit song. I remember watching this clip on a laptop in the back of a minivan as we were headed to California for Thanksgiving vacation. The Croatians in the van were in love with it and so was my Omani friend. Before Aushalalk, Elisssa was coming from a fresh feud with Ragheb Alamah who has sang with her in duet and then spoke ill of her--it's a messy business.

This music video made is possible form Elissa to gain bigger stardom, and die hard fans who would drive her to fame and fortune. She was a stand alone super star who was a treat in each one of the concerts across Arabia. She has manged to tell all her critics, I'm right and I have followed my intuition. And as for Elissa, she has found her voice and the skin she can wear best....romance and love all the way to cheese town.

Naya "No Regrets"Album البوم نايا - ماندم 2012

If your wife dumps you and moves on, what do you do? Well for one music executive who was fired by his wife and she manged to divorce him (Lebanese church weddings are hard to navigate), you go on a hunt and find a younger version of your wide, same color of hair and similar voice then go on offense. The pathatic husband spoke to many media outlets and declared that Naya is his way to get back at his wife. He even called the young singer "more talented" than the mother of his children.

Not upset yet? How about the title of Naya's album "Ma Andam" a popular hit by the producer's ex! Not classy at all. I think there are two issues here:

Naya is a talented young singer with a great potential to be the next big thing, and the producer who is a jerk with a long track record to proof it. This is an album with 9 tracks, some of the songs are made for the Gulf market to bring in the concerts and the people who buy CDs! Others are lovely Lebanese hits.

I did not see much fanfare for this album not too many spoke about it. Arabica music is in the distribution side and as far as I can tell, they are not on top of their game or connections. On other news, do not the cover picture makes Naya look like another Lebanese pop singer? I won't give any names.

01.Men Eidy, happy song where one dances to a bittersweet song. The music is a mush and so are the lyrics
02.Wakhedny Hawak, pop song meant for Egyptian consumption and young spirits who want to jam.
03.Mandam, mean for the folks in the Gulf, a darker feel with good music, not sure how the Gulf will like it
04.Leih Bahebak, Spanish guitar can make everything sounds better...a girl--not a woman song to her man
05.Bel Zouq, A Nancy Ajram clone, and I like it. Will be a big hit in Egypt and with fans of light happy pop
06.Mama Ya Mama, If you like Lebanese mawal you will like this family friendly song about love and mothers, love the dance beat. This is a good track that allows Naya to show off.
07.Tezkar, the winner on this album and we have heard it months ago with heartache causing by Naya
08.Batmanna, your average gillie pop song sin Arabic, not much to be gleeful about
09.Gheerah, another song we have heard months ago, an instant hit and a delightful song that blends pop with good lyrcis from the Gulf.

BREAKING NEWS: Zayn Malik Rocks And Debbie Sucks!

As you know now, Zayn Malik is a cool guy from the boy band One Direction. The singer, who has a British Pakistani father and an English mother, according to one crazy and hateful writer with half baked idea Debbie Schlussel now argues that the singer is making Islam look cool. I know Debbie and she can only survive if they insults Muslims and Islam. She is well known anti-Islam commentator that has issues a call to parents to "keep their daughters away" from the band and their music. I guess Debbie feels insulted whenever she sees a young soul with connections to Islam succeed.

Debbie does not make sense here (trust me, she rarely does) and in fact she contradicts herself. She has always asked Muslims to be more like Americans! Enjoy like and do the things we Westerners like to do. When Zayn Malik does all that and becomes a star, she calls him now "pimping Islam" I think the band and Zayn should not make a big deal out those remarks, Debbie does not matter (she never has), she has failed in every single bid she has bee affiliated with her entire career. She lives in Michigan picking fights with the Muslim community there for no reasons. She feeds on incitement and racism.

And this she cannot see a young, bright and handsome young Muslim succeed.... To prove my words, one conservative Muslim commentator Zuhdi Jasser who is well know for his opposition to extremists Muslims have condemns those remark by moronic Debbie. Zudhi Jasser said the claims are absurd. Speaking to the newspaper, he said: "I would say all Speaking to the newspaper, he said:

"I would say all the power to him to be respectful to his faith and be proud of it."

Zayn is not pushing his religions, I did not even know he was Muslim and I write about music and follow one Direction. Good times is the one thing One Direction is promoting. When I look at Zayn, I see a young man who loves life and wants to enjoy with with his friends and fans. Zayn knows religions are complicated and they have no place in pop music.

Whatever happened to each is own Debbie? Why is his religion so important? Never have I asked about the religion of the singer or entertainer, I only want their music, not weather or not they eat pork. This stunt might help Debbie get donations to her very lame website that has nothing of substance and a whole load of a load of unadulterated malarkey

So Debbie and those racist and uneducated /under-educated hateful cave people can go back to their caves and let the rest of us get busy and make this world a better place. Rock on Zayn and take all your fans into One Direction.

"Men Rights" By Nicolas El Osta 2012 / حقوق الرجال - نقولا الاسطا 2012

Ladies are up an arms against Lebanese singer Nicola El Osta who is a fixture of Lebanese parties in the United States. They are upset with his new song called "Men Rights"! Let's get the story straight, Nicola has played Jesus once before on stage in 2010 so he has to be Mr. nice guy.

Nicola is on hot water not for anything religious, but rather something social. He is complaining that women have too much rights now, and he sees that men need an association to defend their rights. In his song he calls ladies the sweet ones calm down please!" I am sure feminists won't be too happy. Some went as far as calling the song a feminist parody.

Nicola argues that women now dominate TV screens, and all sorts of jobs and that yet to date women have to be satisfied. It's a Lebanese beat made for Debka dance. To his credit, Nicola calls women the man's other half and shies away from being chauvinistic like these songs can often become. It's what it's, so you either love or or hate it. I know the song does not interest me too much.

Controversy Breaks In Lebanon Over "Tanoura Maxi" Movie

The dream of each capable music video director is to make a full feature film. Joe Abou Eid directed many successful and sometimes fascinating music videos, but in 2012 he is pushing his debut film, a Lebanese story inspired by his parents. The film has been going around town and being screened in a number of film festivals. A love story in times of war.

The director is answering his critics. The attacks on the film have been coming from all sides as some see the movie anti-christian. The film shows a scene when a fire is set in a church. Some did not like that, so Joe is answering his critics and telling them this is one scene that has a message. "If the movie disrespects Christianity, I would be the first one to stop it" I like artists to have the freedom they need, but sometimes this is hard when you try to do something edgy. Lebanese TV personality Tony Abou Khalifah is leading the pack of critics.

Tony is charging the censors with neglectfulness as they allow such a picture to be released. Prostitution, sex all at a church is something that should not be green lit. Churches should not be a place where people have sex argues Tony. I am choosing to side with Tony on this one who is making a compelling case, anyone who wants to win an award in Europe, either insults prophet Mohammad or insults Christianity. You cannot just re-enforce the stereotype that Lebanese women are whores, which is another cheap way to get the attention of a punish of older white males who vote for their movies.

Shando, Egypt's Jamaican Looking Son

Shando pulls one of the hardest and most exclusive looks so well. The Reggie personalities are popular among the world, but when it comes to our Arab world, the look does not fly so well. But Shando, a singer from Egypt manged to make that look mainstream. Shando is the kind of celebrity that the educated and the uneducated appreciate.

Shando has also starred in a number of movies where his hair gave the movie some cool factor. But in the song below Shando changed all that by doing a slow song that differs from what he has done in the past. A song for fishermen, but the songs is about life and how people look forward for better days.

It's a grownup song, Shando has had no trouble being the cool and hip kid onscreen, but now he is reaching a new territory. Saddly, Shando thinks he got shafted by Mohamed Mounir who promised him a duet, but when the song came out, Shando had less than 10 seconds on a song that was originally his.

Mena Fadaly Haters Won't Go Out of Business!

Few celebrities can boast about the many hate groups that have dedicated for them. Tamer Hosny is a legend in this department. The female version of Tamer is also Egyptian and her name is Mena Fadaly. Up to 2010 she was one of the hottest actresses in the business. She is the cute and home girl spunky chick that all guys wanted to see in movies and tv shows.

Then she had an idea, why not do a birthday party for herself. Something usually would be cool and fun. But then the party has turned into a bash where Mena wore half a dozen of outfits in the evening and danced rather suggestively with a number of guests. It was men who caused the trouble for the actress and then other men took the pictures and leaked them to the press.  

If there's anything Egyptians hate is a girl trying to have fun at some dudes present and then some older guy will appear on TV and talk about the corrupt society. Mena had a nervous breakdown, appeared on many TV shoes deafening herself and then she said she will quit. She blamed the sleazy people whom she used to call friends for the scandal. Things went back to normal few months later and the whole country got busy with the Arab Spring thing.

And then few weeks ago, Mena said one more outrageous thing that opened an old wound. There are not a single man in Egypt who she likes, she said no man could impress her enough. She said she has a crush on some Turkish soap opera actor. That was something stupid to say, but Mena is releasing a song about how proud she is of being Egyptian. If you can call this is a song, you might be too drunk to tell the difference. Mena does not have any vocal talents, she can only be a cute face.

I did though enjoy the soccer clips she has incorporated in the music video.

Aline Lahoud, The Biological Daughter of Salwa Katrib

That was big news to me to know that one of my favorite Lebanese gems in the music industry Salwa Qatrib has a gal and her gal is a raising star in the show biz. I am speaking of Ellen Lahoud, the pop star who has a rather unique and style in a colorful way.

Here's another cool thing about Aline, she also has gypsy roots, which frankly shows in her look. Ellen does sing in both Arabic and English. However as she is new to the business, she should not set herself to be the keeper of her mother's legacy. Aline does not own her mother's music rights or history. She owns the person and the memories. The sooner Ellen understands this, the better her chances of making it.

Few weeks ago, Aline commented on a remake for one of her Salama's song by Dina Hayek. Aline said, she did not like the version and then got distracted by arguing back and forth with Dina who seems like a cool lady most of the time. On good news, Aline will release a new pop song, "My Way" and she is starting on a theater adpation of a musical with the Ghodai Rahbany. Aline will also be starting in a TV drama where she is playing a rich girl who loses her family.

Aline brings a lot of energy into Lebanese pop, her methods and antics might be seen strange by few, but creative people often do not get offended by such labels.

Myriam Fares Channel Majeda Al Romy?

Myriam had what she thought would be a hit song for Valentine. And it was a good song. written by a lady poem that knows how to express her feeling and speak for many women. And a hip music composer Mohamed Rahim.

But then something went wrong! the music for her delightful song was ripped from a 2005 song by Lebanese diva Majeda Alromy. The rumors have surfaced and did not go away. It's not the fault of Myriam, she does not write the music.

Few weeks later Myriam called off the song and asked radios around the country to stop playing the song. The composer of Myraim Faris' song went on the attack and said pretty crazy stuff. "No body listens to Majda anymore", this is just insane. But then he said something that makes sense. "There are only 7 chord in the musical note, so things might sound similar"

any how the both songs are below, you decide. I really do not see a strong resemblance.

Chaht Man, The Controversial Rapper Sticks It!

The oldest rapper in Morocco is coming under hear from local activists and media for his style. Younis Hodar known under the stage name of Chaht Man released his "I Am Free Album" in which he tackled harsh subjects that most people would rather sweep under the carpet.

One of his music videos give the partying Arabic the treatment they deserve, they rich people form the Arab Gulf, lead prayer at home, but party all night abroad. Morocco is one of the places, they choose to kick of the party at. Chaht Man wrote them a song, that shows their hard partying drinking and prostitution.

He really shamed them. And now I understand why Saudi press is going after him, he spoke to the truth and that hurts. Sometimes people do not like to look in the mirror. Chaht Man seems to be well versed on history too

I started writing this post as someone who wanted to trash the rapper, but I have nothing but respect to this performer and his choice of topics.

Can Majeda Alromy Bring It Again Like She Used To?

Lebanon is a country not short in talent musicians and composers, one of those timeless and ageless talents is Majeda Al Romy. She true and the first butterfly of dreamy Arab pop. Her style focuses on combining menacing rhymes and old-school flow with gooey lyrics.

Most of Majda's songs draw on classical influences and employs a variety of instruments, including violin, guitar, and piano, to create delicate baroque romantic ballads. It's the perfect blend of tender without being sentimental, experimental yet accessible, utterly unique to its maker.

Now check out this song of hers, a song that was ripped most recently by Meryam Faris--Ms. faris withdrew her songs in which the composer stole a note form Majda's song. This is how a sunny romantic song should always feel. Bel Qalb Khalini-- your heart is where I shall remain.

The Meltdown Of Fadel Shaker?

As a singer, he is the kid that has brought it. The classy guy with a warm voice and flowing emotions. If the stories below are true and if they are to be believed, then Fadel is in trouble. As a spokesperson and a brain, he seems to leave something to be desired.

The Arab world has not seen something like this before, we really have not, a public meltdown for someone that has been perceived to be a guy whose in a control. Some really admire him now and his new found stand, but the change is too radical to me. Picking fights with people might be a good thing, but not when you are guy who has performed some of the most memorable romantic songs in the Arabic language.

1. Three years ago, there was a famous feud between Fadel Shaker and Raghib Alama, and it was such a big deal that politicians and army officers tried to exert some pressure on both stars reconcile their disagreement. It's one of those silly stories that caused a rift in the show biz and highlighted some issues in Lebanon--like calling someone is a Palestinian is a grave insult. (Read Here)
2. Late last year, it was reported that he opened fire at a young man who showed up at his home asking for Fadel Shaker's daughter in Marriage. The story has also cited that the police was made aware of the incident. (Read Here)
3. Last month, he attacked other Lebanese and Arab singers, he spoke his mind and had a lot of negative comments--some were even bizarre. 4. Then this month, Fadel Shaker took part of an Anti Bashar Assad rally in Beirut. He joined forces with Salafi forces and sang at the rally. He doubled down and defended his Lebanese citizenship in the wake of attacks on his motives.
5. Then yesterday he appears on a religious TV network and gives an interview and suggests he will be retring from his music career, and he will hang his mic. I detect a zealot note, but to each is own. To watch the video, click here

Lebanses Marwa Can Still Sing, Dance And Act

Here's a clip where a woman is playing the role of a hooker, and the guy goes to town on her calling her names, and in a non discreet way, he sticks all those labels to her. She is non other than Lebanese singer who is hungry for fame in Egypt. Egypt took her in and Marwa did not disappoint either.

Few weeks ago some guys on the set of her 2009 film leaked footage of hers almost naked scene in the shower. She was temporarily investigated in Egypt and the actors /singers guild almost banned her.

Today, I rewarded she was honored by the police department in Cairo for raising the morale of its officers. I must say, there are a lot of guys working in entertainment who would ask a woman to film some bold scenes, and then turn around and call her names. Hypocrisy is a kind word for these clowns.

Local Singers Comes To The Defense of Port Said

Some voices in Egypt blame the city of Port Said for the murder of the 70 Egyptian soccer fans as their home team was playing and winning. Then the massacre broke out, and chaos followed.

Some of those voices have claimed that a sign fans of Al Ahly team had with them caused the clashes. Those voices claim the sign read "Balad El Bala Ma Feehash Rigalah", a second tier town that has no men in it. I have even heard the head of the police in Port Said cite this as a reason.

Now, we have a song that disagrees. Droves of local artists stood together to bring this song and make the case of Port Said and its residence. They even sing about how the city has been wronged for the past 30 years--under Mubarak. This is an impressive song that was planned carefully. And I do love the images of famous Egyptians who came from the city of Port Said.

For starter, I really like the work that have put in the music, it's a delightful fusion of many instruments that has been paired in a perfect harmony. The lyrics are no second tier either. On a final note, the singers stick it to the military whom they blame for the massacre.
