The World's Most Expensive Car Is In Lebanon?

For those out there who idolize, fantasize and worship cars, there are some good news at last. A Lebanses business man just launched an Arab made car company under the catchy brand name W Mobile. His company will make fancy sport cars by a team of young experts who want to dream.

This project has been seven years in the making, so get excited. Their first car resembles the bat-mobile. The business people sought out other wealth Arabs who share the same passion with them. They made connections in Europe and America, and now they are ready to show of their cars.

They have made 30 cars, 25 of one line and 5 of the other...the cars will be shown in Dubai in December of this year. Those are not your everyday cars, those are made for collectors--diamonds lights.

PHOTO: Anwar El Amir Gives Israel The Middle Finger

Anwar El Amir is a popular singer in Lebanon. He was on a vacation in Greece and saw something from the state of Israel, so he posed next to it and gave it the middle finger. I do not know what's on the back, and I do not think this is an Israeli thing. But the singer did something he felt like doing since he is form Lebanon, a country that has seen and lived the might of the Israeli military.

The singer said he was surrounded by Greek and Jewish tourists and wanted to take the picture. He did not plan it, it just happened. His buddy warned him that it might be misunderstood, but still he wanted to take the picture and he did.

I will not comment further on this picture, love it or hate it. Aside form that the singer has a catch new song out that received a warm welcome in Lebanon and around Arabia, it's below.

Music for Your Flights Landing, Seriously?

If you are like me freak out every time your flight is about to land, then maybe you should check out this album. Soothing music to take your mind off the landing experiences. And this is the third volume of this album franchise.

Only one problem, it might be illegal to operate your music player as the flight lands. It has been almost three years since I flew last time, but I am sure you are still not permitted to operate any electronic devices during the take off and the landing.

I cannot speak about the music collection, I would be lying if I claimed to have heard of those names before, I have not. But listening to some of the music--there's one below I have found some calmness.

Nevertheless, this is a good idea

Fares Karam Survives A Health Scare/ Cancels Concerts

It seems that his heart will go on. Lebanese singer and party favorite was getting ready for a benefit concert in his home Lebanon when he started feeling uneasy in his chest. He called in the doctor and called off the concert. Word on the street Fares is one of the few singers who neglect visiting with doctors, he does not exercise and probably smokes.

Fares Karam is the guy who did a song about smoking hookahs and such. Fares has been really busy lately with concerts all over Lebanon in a number of music festivals. The 37 years old have received well wishes from her peers who took on the social media to share their thoughts on Fares.

His personal guard has been making the media rounds and assuring everyone that Fares Karam is safe and recovering. He did call of few other concerts. He will submit to a number of exams to make sure his heart is stable and that he does not need any serious procedures.

I wish the story ends there, a journalist publishes a press release where he claims Fares Karam did not have any health scare, he was overheard telling his crew he is not feeling well and thus he did not want to perform in the concert--according to the Journalist. The person behind the release resides Dubai and goes by the name Waleed El Husnyah. Further people say they have spotted Fares walking out of the hospital looking fine. I am not a doctor but why did team Fares Karam released sophisticated images of the star inside the hospital. How about some privacy?

Jay Sean Gives Lebanon A Night To Remember

Jay Sean, is a British singer-songwriter, rapper, beatboxer and record producer who likes the club scene. Lebanese like anyone who likes the club scene to they invited him to party with them at home. He brought the party to Lebanon and the video will show you as much.

Locals and tourists flocked the concert to enjoy what Jay ha sin store for them. The song of a Punjabi Sikh immigrant in the always evolving city of London. Jay was never meant to be a singer, he was in medicine school before he dropped out to sing professionally.

They added the fashion show to his concerts and those Lebanese party goers who like a drink and a good beat. I checked out some of his tracks, the go makes good club mix and he has a likable personality. See the story from his concert and the interviews with the folks who are among his biggest fans.

Sun City Mall Holds The Hottest Concerts In Egypt

Malls are nothing is they are not crowded, they are nothing if the crowds don't open up their wallets. One mall in Egypt is working out a new formula. They want to drive people to come in to the mall by offering dozens of concerts with big names.

Sun City Mall opened in late 2012 and have been drumming up marketing by luring in new customers to the new mall with regular concerts. The mall is self cost close to 500 million dollars to complete. A luxurious hotel is attached the the seven story mall.

Big names in pop much now, would not mind taking a pay-cut to stay afloat as not as many concerts are planned. Sun City Mall books them to perform in their open space where thousands of people can stand in and enjoy the music. The hope those concert goers inside the mall will purchase something. I would say the concerts are free to the public, but this is Egypt so you can never be too sure.

The Sheikh Who Listens To Metal Also Wants To Ban Elissa, Haifa, and Nancy

One religious Sheikh took to Twitter to attack some ladies who like to sing and made a career out of entertainment. Meet Fadel Suliman, a preacher who spreads the message of Islam took an interesting turn when he attacked three lead pop stars. (The story can be read here in Arabic)

Mr. Fadel admitted to liking Hard Metal in his youth he would go to concerts to enjoy this kind of heavy metal rock. However Heavy Metal Rock has a crappy name in Arabia as many marry it to devil worshiping. So the sheikh defended heavy metal and argued that going to concert for Elissa, Hiafa, and Nancy Ajram is closer thing to worshiping Satan.

The religious figure disagrees with people who want to ban Heavy Metal like the calls in Egypt now as some calls have been made to cancel concerts at the El Sawy Culture Wheel (more here). He defends his favorite kind of music yet attacks people for going to female concerts. Fadel belongs to the Muslim brotherhood and has made similar calls in the past about certain female singers. He has even doubled down and attacked other Lebanese songstress like Marwa and Nicole Saba.

Fafel Suliman is a Muslim preacher who comes to the United States and talks about Islam, he has authored a number of books on his religion of choice.

Why is making this case now and why is he only picking on entertainers form Lebanon are my questions.

Zein Shaker Release The First Transgender Arab Song

Zein Shaker is a nobody, but he wanted to be somebody in 5 minutes. To accomplish that he released a song about marrying a girl who turns to be a dude. For starter the song is weird and was made in a no budget. It made waves in Lebanon as people have frowned upon it and upon its strange topic--strange for many Arabs.

The song is hardly entertaining, it does one thing right is increase awareness on the matter, recognizing the existence of an issue is the first step. What do you guys think of the lyrics? I find them basic and so do the beat. Not sure what Zein's next song will be, he might go mainstream this time.

Tamer Hosny Shrinking Fans Celebrate His Fake Wedding With A Song

While the news has not been officially confirmed, fans of the Egyptian pop star have released a song to celebrate the unconfirmed rumors of his wedding to Bassma Boussil. It's a karaoke song that uses some lines from a Tamer Hosny song...has it ever happen to you

The voice behind this song is Ahmed Gamal--a nobody who is cheering his idol one. The song called on Tamer and Bassma it references their names and how they have manged to score one another. The topic aside this is a catchy beat, simple but catchy ringtone.

Will Tamer have the backbone to come out in public and say the words that he has gotten married? Is it cool for your fans to call your wife "Bint al eeh"? "Daughter of A Gun" Like you have used the line before too many times.

I Don't Think Tamer Hosny Is Really Married To Bassma Boussil

It has been almost a week since that random video has popped online and the social media where supposedly the Egyptian pop star. He has popped the question to Bassma Boussil and the video claims they are now married. I might be wrong about this, but the singer has yet to confirm his wedding in person or in a live show. He is testing the water. If you guys do not like it, he might deny the news of his marriage.

For starter he has not confirmed the news in person, we only get bits and pieces from the internet. Do not believe everything you read on the internet. If he is so happy and so proud of his marriage--which he should be, why has he not spoken about it. Another thing to consider is Bassma's new career where she has an album ready to be released soon, free marketing cannot hurt.

This could be a stunt from the guy who knows how to stay in the news and stay in the public discourse. He needed some press, as he prepares for a new album project which he is producing but claims that some global company is paying him to release. The album will be mostly in English. If the wedding was a reality, where is the wedding? Pictures anyone? Families?

Now let's talk about this marriage, I am certain most people are happy for Tamer including his female fans who tend to faint in his concerts. Why is he hiding the news? I am certain he has no problem calling in one of those TV shows to confess his love and share the news about his marriage. I think the good press deliver him some sales. He went from essentially having a whole music network (Mazzika) dedicated to him into a pariah.

Menam And His Music Is Vomit Inducing

Menam is full of shit, but his fans do not care about that. They do not seem to read or write so, whatever we say about their beloved star, they ain't going to read it.

He is a wedding singer, and not classy weddings, he is reserved for street weeding where the locals turn out to drink some cheap booze, overweight belly dancers and jerks for men. I am sure the people who like this kind of music--it feels like a poor man auto tune music that mechanics come up with at their spare time.

Not sure why Menam keeps making music videos, but nothing stops him from reaching out to grab the cool title of a Sh'abi style. Never mind, those songs tend to sound the same, one beat and one line about the guy being a stud and street smart. It's done in the name of having fun

Saad Ramadan Sings Like A Star, Talks Like A Drug Junkie

I like his music but I love to hate the way he talks. It might be the Lebanese thing, why do people like Saad Ramadan talk like they have been given some kind of drug? The guy is hot, the guy is smart, and he makes good music. He had half a dozen of concerts this summer and his biggest were in Algeria--a country he did not know he was known in.

So he sat down with Elaph and talk about his success and his hard work. I do not like the bit when he talks about his plans and activities, he should stick to music and romance. His talking pattern might alienate some people. His new album should be dropping by soon.

Fadel Shaker Is Like The Crazy But Nice Uncle

When you home speaks a language, you better speak the language if you wan to get comfortable at the place where you have been granted peace. Fadel Shaker told us he will quit the music business, but then this latest single of his is the answer---he is not going anywhere.

This time he has a lady in his music video and he seems to be frozen and a lot older than he once was. But the salt and pepper hair brings some maturity to this poem turned into a song . I love the gracious part where the song credits the creator with making such gorgeous people.

I think Fadel does well when he sings, when you ask for his opinions, things get ticky as he gets emotional

WATCH: Nicole Saba "Hafdal Ahlam" - "نيكول سابا "هفضل أحلم

Nicole Saba just released her must see music video of the year--she released one last year too. An effect rich music video, with an incredible cinematography. I am serious, this music video is so well made that you would think some major Hollywood studio stands behind it.

I feels like an Amy Lee music video, there's just too much to process and too much to take in at the same time. The makeup work is dazzling, and Nicole's voice is astonishing. she stares into the camera and one gets the feeling she is gazing into one's soul.

The music sounds like your favorite club mix, I do not get the masks and the wood yet. I know Nicole is a proud women with a lot of femensit opinions about lberty and not oweing anyone anything. I love the last bit on the beach and breaking free from all things. Like the song suggests, it does get better

Fadl Shaker - Ma Asadeq Teaser / فضل شاكر - ما أصدق

Fadel Shaker has told us he will quit singing, but sol far he has not. We know he does not like Bashar and we also know that he sill performs live. He also goes o prayer and takes pictures with fans there. He has also moved to Qatar with his family where he lives

Since he is now in the Gulf, it's a master of time that he would release a Gulf song, poets in that part of the world pay top dollars for singers to turn their songs into poems. So, it's no surprise that a song by Fadel Shaker is being promoted at the moment.

It's a safe song for Fadel, but from the teaser, the song might be lacking. But it could be that we are only hearing seconds of it. There's a female lady in the music video, and some tourist stuff, but the song seems romantic and poetic. What I do not think it has is energy or originality. But it's too soon to fully know that.

PICTURE: Can You Guess The Singer's Name?

OK,

I have a dare or a contest if you prefer, can you name the name of one singer in this picture? If you know the person in the picture, you would be a super awesome Arabic music fan, because the artist is no longer a celebrity, but he/she was and he/she deserves to be. He remains a force in the local music scene in his/her country.

The singer made few hits and then disappeared because the business and the media change--too many TV network and too many singer.

Bonus: this person left his/her home at age of 12 and he/she started to support themselves.

So
what are you waiting for, can you guess the name? And if you know anything about this singer. Leave is in the comment section. cheers.

Is It Me Or Does M Kamal Sounds Just Like M Fouad?

Egypt is a land full of singer with the first name Mohammed, I can name 20 and I know you can do the same. Mohammed is a popular name (and beautiful)

I know I reviewed the Mohammed Kamal album more than a month ago, but I really cannot help and notice that he does sound exactly like the sound of Egyptian singer Mohammed Fouad. They might be friends for all I know, but if you listen to this promo for Kamal's album, you might agree with me.

It might be be that they chose similar lyrics, or that music sounds all the same now. They both excel in the romantic songs, but Fouad is the elder in this business.

Basic "T'abla" Or Arabic Drum With Josef Attieh

It's a 6000 years old musical instrument, and it happens to be very popular around the globe, we know it as the drum in Arabic, it's T'abla "الطبلة" It's the one instruments that most Arab know how to play, even older ladies. It's all about having a beat and knowing how to count.

I know at my older brother's wedding, some old lady did a fine jump making this T'abla dance. The one she used was made out of clay and a fine piece of leather. Now, you can but them made out of metal. Most religious folks are OK with this instruments and fine with using it.

One fresh dude of Lebanese pop and romance just found himself in the zone and instead of singing like he has always done, he played the drum where did a very fine job. Darbuka is the most popular melody made out on T'abla. Josef Attieh got into it and give us a very fine Darbuka.

Good many more kids now will be inspired to pick this very basic instrument to make music, I know the drum circle that meats every Sunday on the 16th St park in DC will be jealous.

Feel Free To Hate That Shithead Tamer Hosny

I cannot help it, but I still cannot stomach this guy anymore. He might have recorded some big songs--in his world, but he is still a tiny little guy. He traveled to Hollywood trying to get the attention of people around the Arab World, no body seemed to tune in.

Now he has a concert in Morocco, where he saw a big and warm reception. I will not argue with that, he is a star but those who got no education and those who are glued to their TV screens. He did hold a pres conference while there. Remember the old Tamer would never talk to anybody and he would never take questions. He now has to blame the humble boy game.

He danced on the stage and tried to pretend everything is ok. Here's the sad reality, he will not sell a big concert in Egypt. He won't, he might pack it with his buddies and friends for free, but few would pay a dime to see him. His concert was free for the masses in Morocco. He even went to Jordan for another concert and spoke to the pres.

It looks like the uni-brows are back this summer. Some journalist actually said something pretty cool. "I wish you have not made your movies" Tamer tried to play it cool and saying he made money! This is not about art anymore, he is all about the money, little misguided teenagers and zombies.

Massari Or Shitty Losers Who Make It Big In Lebanon

Sari Abboud or as you know him Massari is a Lebanese Canadian R&B, pop, and hip hop singer who grew up in Canada. Massari means "money" in colloquial Arabic. I do not know one thing about him until Arab entertainers started talking about him like they would about Michael Jackson. For some reasons, desperate Arab singers wanted to inject some pizzazz into their careers by using the name of an unknown singer and playing him up. Here's what one commentator had to say about the Canadian savior of Lebanese music
.i hate everything about him his style his stupid songs his looks !!
I don't really like Massari,his music isn't my type
Massari has found some traction in Lebanon where he organizes concerts and now he is bringing a Canadian treat to share the stage with him Mia Martina. I do not like their style of music and I feel it's at least 5 years behind that on the American music. One last thing, I am proud of Arabs who do well and succeed, I just do not think we should worship people who are not worthy of that attention. ماساري لـ"إيلاف": تِرشرش أغنيتني اللبنانيَّة المفضَّلة
