Mohammed Al Farra D.R Ft. MC Gaza & Big E Hip Hop

Hip Hop is a game for many of those rappers. Gaza rappers are no different. When Mohammed al-Farra takes the stage. He rapped about the Gaza Strip and talked to the audience about the struggles that Palestinians in Gaza face on a daily basis under siege and occupation. Al Farra has generated a large number of followers outside Gaza, he seems to have the business connections all lined up.

Al Farra came from the group Palestinian Rapperz  thought to be the first hip hop group from Gaza. When he takes the stage and demonstrates skills that show he is has what it takes to be on the who is who map of the world’s most talented up and coming artists. His flow, the music, and the content all come together to form a breathtaking show

These were bold words, but in a spectacular show, he showed that this was no idle boast. With his powerful lyrics, his inspiring hope, and his dedication to the plight of Palestine, human rights, and the right of return to Palestine, He touched everyone’s heart, and made everyone in the room rise up and dance. But frankly, this is something that he won't be able to replicate in Gaza.

I do not like the excessive cussing in English but I know why it's there....to attract young confused souls who want to be able to get mad in two languages. I do happen to like the mix of rappers involved with this track. It shows that the local rap scene has now matured and ready for prime time.

PHOTO: Anwar El Amir Gives Israel The Middle Finger

Anwar El Amir is a popular singer in Lebanon. He was on a vacation in Greece and saw something from the state of Israel, so he posed next to it and gave it the middle finger. I do not know what's on the back, and I do not think this is an Israeli thing. But the singer did something he felt like doing since he is form Lebanon, a country that has seen and lived the might of the Israeli military.

The singer said he was surrounded by Greek and Jewish tourists and wanted to take the picture. He did not plan it, it just happened. His buddy warned him that it might be misunderstood, but still he wanted to take the picture and he did.

I will not comment further on this picture, love it or hate it. Aside form that the singer has a catch new song out that received a warm welcome in Lebanon and around Arabia, it's below.

The Comeback Plan For Tamer Hosny's Career

At the height of the Egyptian revolution Tamer Hosny was the only person more unpopular than former president Hosny Mubarak. Few people had anything nice to say about the Egyptian pop star, he had simply made so many enemies out there and he did a number of stupid things that made people laugh at his expenses. No need to go in details of his offenses, everyone knows about the epic fail and the meltdown that's well documented on YouTube.

Now that Tamer Hosny has done the sensible thing by getting married, I think he can consider applying one of those suggestions I have for him. If he really wanted a comeback, he should think different now.

  1. Work with other stars, collaborate with them. Do not just work with your buddies and other stars who would sit in the backseat and let you be in charge. You will benefit from working with other stars who can carry their own weight.
  2. Invest some time to socialize with the stars--go to funerals, weddings and birthday parties. No other star has ever spoke about Tamer being a nice guy who cares about others. Tamer has a reputation that he does not socialize with other entertainers. Making new friends can be a shield for your career. If you are too busy, make a phone call.
  3. Stop singing about girls and start singing about women. Not all women are confused teenagers who view you as a father figure. Some of them are smarter than you and do things for a reason not just to make you cry.
  4. Stop singing about women like they are cats, they have should you know. Your most famous songs can be easily confusing with a song for a guy who is in love with a pet not a human bring.
  5. Be humble and act like it. Those who worship you are too stupid to matter or even to do you any good. Do not let that all get into your head. Most of your loathe that about you.
  6. Stop suing people for criticizing you. Do not intimidate/bully those who do not have kind opinions about you. Like when they make a movie that alludes to stuff you do in concerts, no need to move heaven and earth to change that.
  7. Stop taking down videos on YouTube that you do not like. Take down all the materials that you have copy rights too--like your movies and your music. Just leave the talk shows who talk smack about you and about some of your antics.
  8. Laugh with people, if they tell a joke laugh, you do not have to be the funniest guy in the room or on the set. Make fun of yourself, nothing can humanize you as much as this one can. Do not be too melodramatic and ego driven about things like unfaltering videos. Any publicity is good publicity.
  9. And finally, do one thing and do it well. You might be a gifted singer, but you are no wonder boy when it comes to composing music. You sell big movies, but you do not have to write the script and direct the picture. Let other people do their job and reward them for it. No need to slap your name all over the product--give people credit and recognize them.

Fares Karam Survives A Health Scare/ Cancels Concerts

It seems that his heart will go on. Lebanese singer and party favorite was getting ready for a benefit concert in his home Lebanon when he started feeling uneasy in his chest. He called in the doctor and called off the concert. Word on the street Fares is one of the few singers who neglect visiting with doctors, he does not exercise and probably smokes.

Fares Karam is the guy who did a song about smoking hookahs and such. Fares has been really busy lately with concerts all over Lebanon in a number of music festivals. The 37 years old have received well wishes from her peers who took on the social media to share their thoughts on Fares.

His personal guard has been making the media rounds and assuring everyone that Fares Karam is safe and recovering. He did call of few other concerts. He will submit to a number of exams to make sure his heart is stable and that he does not need any serious procedures.

I wish the story ends there, a journalist publishes a press release where he claims Fares Karam did not have any health scare, he was overheard telling his crew he is not feeling well and thus he did not want to perform in the concert--according to the Journalist. The person behind the release resides Dubai and goes by the name Waleed El Husnyah. Further people say they have spotted Fares walking out of the hospital looking fine. I am not a doctor but why did team Fares Karam released sophisticated images of the star inside the hospital. How about some privacy?

Sun City Mall Holds The Hottest Concerts In Egypt

Malls are nothing is they are not crowded, they are nothing if the crowds don't open up their wallets. One mall in Egypt is working out a new formula. They want to drive people to come in to the mall by offering dozens of concerts with big names.

Sun City Mall opened in late 2012 and have been drumming up marketing by luring in new customers to the new mall with regular concerts. The mall is self cost close to 500 million dollars to complete. A luxurious hotel is attached the the seven story mall.

Big names in pop much now, would not mind taking a pay-cut to stay afloat as not as many concerts are planned. Sun City Mall books them to perform in their open space where thousands of people can stand in and enjoy the music. The hope those concert goers inside the mall will purchase something. I would say the concerts are free to the public, but this is Egypt so you can never be too sure.

Local Rima Banna Is The Palestinian Global Star

There's a formula that works for some great names, any name really in any culture. If they mange to find a magical way to celebrate the local folksy scene and take into new territories, they will garner fame all across the world. Bob Dylan did it in the United States, Fayrouz accomplished it in Lebanon, Mohammed Mounir did it in Egypt. In Palestine Rim Banna did just that.

She sang for he grandmother, for her farm and for her little village. And her hard work and creative ways brought her fame and a global fellowship. People seek which is different than their own, that's why Rim was able to it. She has a warm yet easy to manipulate voice, and her performances on stages all over the world are sold out to both Arabic speaking and non. She is a collector of old Palestinians texts, and stories , then she curates them into upbeat songs.

She is a savvy performer who knows how to work out an audience. The tales she sings about are timeless and for many they generate a fuzzy feeling, that's why she has been around for more than decade now. The daughter of the Palestinian city of Nazareth whose Ukrainian composer and guitar player husband whom she met in Russia while she attended the music conservatory constantly makes waves in the music scene.

Wael Kfoury Plays Tennis And Lunches His Tournament

Singers like sports, but very few of them excel at it. While most go to the gym and workout, one guy loves a sport so much that he launched his own tournament. Of course, I am speaking about Wael Kfoury and his love of Tennis.

Many in Lebanon know that the singer is a big fan of this game where he has practiced the game for years now. But most recently, he has kicked of the first tennis tournament that he has sponsored in Lebanon. The tournament included a number of categories including one for males, females and older than 40.

The winner was awarded 3000 dollars. The total amounts that were awarded added up to 12 thousand US dollars. Again, this is an elitist game for the people with a lot of money, but to his credit Wael is doing his country a favor for a guy who shuns the spotlight, this is a major event.

I Don't Think Tamer Hosny Is Really Married To Bassma Boussil

It has been almost a week since that random video has popped online and the social media where supposedly the Egyptian pop star. He has popped the question to Bassma Boussil and the video claims they are now married. I might be wrong about this, but the singer has yet to confirm his wedding in person or in a live show. He is testing the water. If you guys do not like it, he might deny the news of his marriage.

For starter he has not confirmed the news in person, we only get bits and pieces from the internet. Do not believe everything you read on the internet. If he is so happy and so proud of his marriage--which he should be, why has he not spoken about it. Another thing to consider is Bassma's new career where she has an album ready to be released soon, free marketing cannot hurt.

This could be a stunt from the guy who knows how to stay in the news and stay in the public discourse. He needed some press, as he prepares for a new album project which he is producing but claims that some global company is paying him to release. The album will be mostly in English. If the wedding was a reality, where is the wedding? Pictures anyone? Families?

Now let's talk about this marriage, I am certain most people are happy for Tamer including his female fans who tend to faint in his concerts. Why is he hiding the news? I am certain he has no problem calling in one of those TV shows to confess his love and share the news about his marriage. I think the good press deliver him some sales. He went from essentially having a whole music network (Mazzika) dedicated to him into a pariah.

Pop Music Has Gotten Louder and Less Original

You know your dad's old buddies have always told you the music you listen to is too loud. Your old man told you about your favorite pop music "it's unoriginal" I think they might have been speaking some truth to you.

Because as we learn today about a computer analysis of nearly half-a-million songs recorded between 1955 and 2010 and reported in Nature Scientific Reports Thursday. “We have been able to show how the global loudness level of music recordings has consistently increased over the years,” study author Joan Serra of the Spanish National Research Council said in an email exchange.

Similarly, the team found the diversity of chords and melodies has “consistently diminished in the last 50 years”. “This yields a clear recipe for contemporising old songs: using more common chord changes, changing the song’s instrumentation, and record it louder,” said Serra.

The study spanned a variety of genres, including rock, pop, hip hop, metal and electronic. “Much of the gathered evidence points towards an important degree of conventionalism, in the sense of blockage or no-evolution, in the creation and production of contemporary Western popular music,” said the study.

I am sure Arabic pop is not much different, it has gotten a lot louder, thanks to Euro trash and house music invasion. Plus, the lyrics have been recycling for ages now, we just have to have a long term memory. At least, this is what science has concluded. I would add, thanks to having songs written by teams now, no longer would one person author one hit alone----it takes a village to doctor a good song.

Nancy Ajram Celebrates Her 4th Wedding Anniversary

Nancy Ajram has done many things right in her life and throughout her life she has many success, but none of her accomplishment compare to the things she has accomplished with her family. She has one of the best families in the show business.

She has a loving husband and two cute girls. Her husband is doctor Fady Al Hashim- we really do not know much about him. This is great because this speaks about the kind of person Dr. Hashim is. He is not a big ego and he never speaks to the pres. He is next to Nancy, and seems to be at peace with himself. He chooses to stay away form the spotlight and mostly keeps to his practice and his family.

The most famous Arab couple are celebrating their fourth anniversary this week. I am sure their little girls are happy to have them in their lives. Plus not to forget the loving grandmother who spends a great deal with the two Nancy girls. The marriage took place in the fall of 2008 (Sept 1) when Nancy was enjoying the succes of her record breaking album "Bitfaker Fi Eeh". Her fans are celebrating the occasion and wishing the young and spunky songstress more to come.

I have always admired the choices Nancy Ajram makes, but they all pale when compared to her decision to marry her dentist. See, most female entertainers marry a business guy or a music producer, they rarely marry regular folks. And they certainly almost never marry young. Nancy did the opposite, she married a regular nice gentleman and she married young. It seems that only increased her love in the heart of her fans. Her business is booming and her family seems to be happy. It took guts to do something like that especially when most female entertainers keep away from marriage out of fear their fans might abandon them.

Ahly Zamalek And The Cairo Derby ليلة القمة الإفريقية

As two of the biggest soccer teams in the planet meet in a derby, the eyes are on the match. To help drum up word on the games, singers are happy to provide pep songs for their team of choice.

Nancy Ajram plays it safe and sings for both teams, Al Ahly and Zamalik are arch rivals, but the Lebanese pop star won't get into the fight, for all we knows she does not watch soccer. This is the smart way to do it, and unite a people who seems to hate one another during the games. By singing for both teams Nancy Ajram makes sure that her marketing gigs are safe.

Aziz Al Shafie on the other hand has always sided with Al Zamalek, it's his home as his songs state. The composer really cares about the white knights team, so it's safe to assume that his songs for the team are coming form the heart.

The red team has a big fan in popular street singer Saad Al Soghayer who has nailed one of the most popular songs for the red team. Al Ahly might be the largest team in the Arab world with fans all over the map and loyal fans who would do anything for their team. Saad is a popular singer with the marginalized people and those rich people have also heard of him

Passion is good, violence is not. I do not take sides, but I can tell which team is more popular

DOWNLOAD: Cheb Khaled 2012 Album البوم ملك الراى الشاب خالد - C'est La Vie

The most globally recognized Arab singer is hands down Cheb Khaled, the Algeria Rai singer who is well known around the globe with his too many hits to count. The son of the land that has given a million fallen man and women in their pursuit of freedom is not done yet, he has released a hot album that goes from Arabic, into Algerian Arabic into French For his latest album, you will be glad to hear about the musical guests both behind the microphone and in the mixing room. This is an upbeat album with a lot of energy, excitement that crossover boundaries.

This is his comeback album that rests in top of the charts in Europe as well as most Arab countries. This is his first album in more than 3 years. France is excited and so is Sweden. I am proud of Khaled and his approach of reaching a bigger market by giving them a taste of a very local music. This is the smartest way to make it big, you do not want to change your roots, instead you make your roots change other people perception

Khaled has always reached to bigger and bigger audience with his vocals and his dazzling songs. I am going to say this is an album that will be blazed around Europe in their clubs and cafes. It can also be played in your head as you race. Khaled is growing older here, but his spirit is still strong and his music is supercharged. Redone, the famed European Arab music producer adds his magic touched to the track. The title song is bilingual, with the main text in Algerian Arabic and the refrain in French. The catchy dance song repeats the phrase. The track speaks about Spain, Arabia and France, the regions Arabic obssess about, like falling in love with a lady from the old Andalusia.

Nancy Afyouni, Making Lebanon Hotter Since 2007

Nancy Afyouni is a gorgeous babe from the land of a million beautiful people--Lebanon. She dubbed herself as a hot Pop Singer\Miss Intercontinental and a successful business woman. She is a celebrity all around. She shot to fame in 2007 when she won the title for Ms. Intercontinental, a beauty pageant.

While good looks tend to pay, they rarely make a career, that's why Nancy went with a singing career to bring her more fame and more cash. She sounds like a young women with a clear view of the world of entertainment. She must be doing something right as the internet seems to be busy with contents on Nancy Afyouni.

It's clear to me that Nancy is going for sexy image than the cute one, which is fine because men are pigs for the most part. I do not think it's right for men to criticize her and her clothes in public while in private they leer at them. I do not think I have heard any of her songs, I will take that back, she has already made a terrible song My Meow a really gross song in English. It was so bad that the comments on the video have been disabled.

The Most Famous Arab Celebrities' Scandals أشهر فضائح لفنانين وفنانات العرب

In American they have sex tapes, recorded voices messages, and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They also have one star who likes to steal things, and there are many who go to rehab to address problems with drugs, alcohol, and exhaustion.

Let's visit Arabia and see what the Arab stars have for us in store, it seems that with the spotlight, so many Arab stars get caught in scandals or trouble with the press.

  1. A leaked video of Nancy Ajram at a beauty shop where her privates where being taken care of by a professionals. This was bad and we still love Nancy...
  2. Egyptian dancer turned actress, had a leaked sex tape with her husband--on papers, not a real marriage. They were in the bedroom doing the nasty and it was a vivid video that shocked the Arab press for which Dina wore the head cover for a while.
  3. Lebanese TV personality, singer and actress, Rozan Al Moghraby was the star of a privet video where she was around a lot of beer and performing sexual acts on some dude while joking and teasing. This has torpedoed her career.
  4. Lebanese super star and media darling had pictures of her in bikini by the pool side leaked to the internet and off course who does not want a little peak?
  5. Egyptian actress Ziena, was a guest of a TV show when her dress got tangled and her dress came off a bit revealing her bra for everyone to see.
  6. Syrian singer and TV personality was a guest of Star academy, doing a song when her tight jeans got ripped from the front in the middle of her segment, revealing a prime real estate.
  7. Egyptian actress trying to be singer Mena Fadaly had a birthday party and it was a crazy party attended by so many celebrities, Mena's pictures leaked to the press and the pictures revealed too much, and humiliated the singer and most of her parting guests. That was a big deal.
  8. Kuwaiti singer Jawad Al Ali cannot catch a break, while a guest on a live she, come dude called in and called him gay and asked him to perform an act of sexual nature. Poor Jawad, that must have been an awkward exchange.
  9. Moroccan singer, Laila Ghofran--an other wise great vocalists was the star of a video where she was doing a steamy dance bit and sitting on her boyfriend (friend who is a boy) feet.
  10. Lebanese singer/actress Marwa was doing an appearance at a primer of one of her movies, and the fans outnumbered what her guards can handle and it was reported she was harassed--some stupid people out there blame the dress she was wearing.
  11. Again Lebanese Marwa was the star of a leaked footage from one of her movies where she was almost naked in the shower--this was a big deal later year. It seemed that the director leaked it and since then Marwa has been cleared.
  12. Egyptian actress Hanan Turk was caught in the middle of a scandal with prostitution and all that,  I think she served jail time, then it turned out she was innocent and the whole ordeal was a set up.
  13. Tamer Hosny sang for Egypt and how much he loved it, then it turned out he forged documents to get out of the military service. He cliams innocence and that he was tricked into doing that. He did a jail time and since then he has been a tool for the armed forced in Egypt.
  14. TV host Hala Sarhan had guests on her show who claimed to be prostitutes in Egypt and they have given so much details. The segment was a big hit and upset a lot of people. WE are told later that Hala hired some actress to pose as hookers. Hala would flee to Dubai and stays there until the Mubarak regime fell apart
  15. Egyptian actor and activist Khalid Abu El Naga was the star of a video where he was marrying one of his lady friends on the beach--I do not know what this one is a scandal.
  16. Libyan singer Ali Hamida was arrested for molesting a little boy in Egypt and he served time in jail, he would be a nobody after he once was the hottest boy of Arab pop in the 80s. He certainly had the coolest hair.
  17. Star Academy and its participants had a lot of scandals about footage for females changing clothes and males and females getting cozy with one another. See the video below.

Super Leefa, The Most Real Popular Album of 2012

Abu El Leef is an awseom singer who has grew tired of outdated songs that only speaks about emotions and not talk about the great picture. People are all around us full of shit, someone has to put them in their place. Once love has been put in place, what comes next? Marriage? Abu El Leef is a social commentator on all things Egypt and its society.

I love this new album and I tend to skip other albums to give this album another listen. Here's my take on each of the album's tracks and subjects discussed.

01 - A3ozo Bellah, a real dose of how most people get in other people business, and try to jinx their life by envying them for their hard work or luck.
02 - Bent El-Nass, this is the most exciting track in the entire album, its recorded as of Abu El Leef is in the 60s performing live in a very folksy sitting. I might not like the guy pretending to be holier than though and speak ill of some females. "Women wearing perfume are hookers" as the song implies. But musically this is a real delight.
03 - Hatofrag 3alena, a duet with unlikely singer Hisham Abbas, a good beat that mixes sweet and humor, I like the energy. A good collaboration for both artists who seem to have real chemistry.
04 - Ta2 To2et El-Fan, the shortest song, but with the most important message, singing is not against Islam. Abu El Leefa delivers a decent song that asks people to chill and not to fight art and artists. A timely message indeed where Abu El Leef speaks truth to powers.
05 - Ba2ena Be Zambalek, a time piece, a wise song about how times change and how people keep chasing the dream wanting to own things. It might have to do with the Arab Spring, one day you are king of the world, the second you are in the hospital. The song plays well to the demographics Abu El Leefa appeal to.
06 - El-Tawoos, a nother song about life and how rich people think they own the world, when in reality they will end in a grave. A dark and gloomy song that some might find is hard to swallow, but just like truth it can be hard to process.
07 - Taxi 2, a sequel to the Abe El Leef's ealier song Taxi, this time he has more money and can afford to hail a cap to take him to Paris. He is knocking down the air quality in Cairo, and such. I like it only because I like the first one. You might like the funk spirit.
08 - TaTa TaTa, a Sh'abi mawal, folks tales and such. I do not love the song, but I know it will be a welcomed track in certain Cairo pockets where their pockets are empty. A song about those who try to live an honest life, tend to get stepped all over by thr people. The gangsters are feared and greeted with love form people all around.
09 - Nena How, a song about cellphones, not answering your phone when you do not know the number. a good song that teaches younger folks to be respectful and not try to go around with girls and fooling around. A song about good people ladies and men who know their limits.
10 - Gedo, a funny humorous take on grandpa. Grandpa can spoil the grand kids and let them get away with stuff. A good song for the kids, it teaches them respect. It's a cute song that celebrates both the young and old. Abu El Leef does a good job here by tabbing into the kids market.
11 - Khaleek Fe El-Nour, one of my favorite tracks on the album. The message, if you want to get married, you should do it by knocking in the front door, no need to go the alternative ways and instead of doing things right, doing it through paper---paper marriages where the contract remains with the bride. This is a common practice, a tricky way to be able to have a sexual relationship and claim, that you are a couple. Abu El Leef tells people to take it easy and do the proper thing. He also tells such guys he will beat them up....imagine this was your sister.
12 - El-Tawoos (Remix), again, the same great song with a new twist.

The Arab Celebrities Twitter Scandal

There's a dozen of news reports that have been made public about a number of Arab celebrities buying fans and followers on the world wide web.  Tamer Hosny was the guy who got the most heat last year--after calming a million follower most of whom were computer bots.

Here are some hard numbers that are true as of today

  1. Elissa has 442 thousand followers on Twitter
  2. Haifa Wahbe has 336 followers on the same network
  3. Nawal Al Zoghby has 267 thousand
  4. Nancy Ajram 255 thousand followers
  5. Najwa Karam has 226 K followers
  6. Myriam Faris has 147 thousand followers

Few weeks later, we hear more dirt about other Arab celebrities who have been Linked to fake Twitter and Facebook accounts. Najwa Karam had to answer questions about the same subject. Elissa had to deal with increased attacks from Haifa Wahbe fans who have spilled the beans on all the fake followers for the Lebanese diva. Read here in Arabic on Khabar 3ajilThe accusations started with attacks like those followers are not Arab nor they speak Arabic, so why would they be following an Arabic pop star. Others claim such fake fans have no engagement level and no activities online that would indicate they are for real.

Elaph also reported on the scandal, according to a number of companies, you can purchase a 100 thousand followers for about 5 thousands dollars. Nawal Al Zoghby is another singer who has been accused of buying fake fans and followers. Elaph seemed to have done the most research on this topic and they have followed it very closely.

Of course the celebrities are defending themselves against those attacks and accused their foes of being jealous of their success. I think the reality is more complex than that, but it would not be a far fetched scenario for those celebrities to have a mixed bag of fake and real followers.

Nasr Mahrous and The Making (and Marketing) of Top Pop Stars

Sherine Abdelwahab, Tamer Hosny, Baha Sultan, Diab, Suma, Khalid Agag, Mohammed Foaud, Mohammed Mohie and a dozen more household name in Egyptian pop have all been branded and brough to the spotlight by one humble Egyptian man that goes with the name Nasr Mahrous, a music producer. Nasier owns the label Free Music and was the guy who made stars before Rotana ever could. He made and produced top quality songs turning them into hits. Nasr seems to be most proud of his collaboration with the late legendary singer Mohammed Roshdy.

the last thing, I have seen of his work was the music video for Baha Sultan, a really good one that cam elate last year. Nasr knows all about shots and production. Nasr is a producer, director, lyricist and and if needed to, he can sing. Nasr's father was a music producer before him and Ameer, Nasr's brother is one of the top sound engineers in Arabia. This is the work of an all Cairo family that likes the business and the art side of their work.

Nasr started in the 80s by selling cassettes and distributing them around Egypt. In the 90s he started releasing a series of various artists under the label Free Mix--those sold huge. That also included a Free Baby tape, that had many silly but lovable hits. Nasr uses a decent formula, which is making mix tapes for new names, if those names have hits, then he and produced them an entire album. Nasr has tried his hand on feature films by releasing Captain Hima, a romantic comedy with Tamer Hosny and Ziena.

Some of those stars might not work with Nasr's lable, but they still all refer to him as big brother who gives them advise as needed. Perhaps the two names who are considered Nasr's greatest commercial success, I would count Tamer Hosny and Sheine, they are the biggest money maker in Egyptian pop at the moment.

بابا فين Where Is Dad? The Hit Song With Arab Kids

Some goofy looking guy wears glasses and calls a number, then a group of kids answer the phone, and give him a trip. Kid stories about their world. The guy feels tired as he keeps trying to get though the the kids father.

It was a cute song and everyone was surprised by this kiddie song that was highly entertaining. The kids do a good job driving this man mad by being cute and kiddish. The song came in the early 2000, and it inspired a number of copy cats since then...Haifa Wahbe made a sequel to it few years ago--it was a good song too.

The song came from an album with a kid group called Free Baby,  it came few songs, none of them was as popular as your';s your father hit!

FINALLY: Tamer Hosny Gets Married To Bassma Bousel

The rumors were true, I mean the ones about his romance with Moroccan singer Bassma--she is no career singer she took part of Star Academy season six. This might be the right way to go about making a comeback. Tamer Hosny as a single man has passed his expiration date.

a married Tamer Hosny might imply he is a serious musician who takes his work seriously. He is no longer Mr. single guy out there to get the ladies and seduce them through his romantic--sometimes cheesy songs. Tamer made the news official on his Facebook page through a video that landed there with a quck background story and then comes the wedding news. Tamer worked with the singer and then they have grown fond of one another--he approached her father and asked for Bassma's hand in marriage.

Now, I learned Tamer Hosny has made his marriage official in May of 2012 inside the Egyptian embassy in the United States where Tamer was working on some musical projects. He has kept the news due to the elections in Egypt and the incidents in Rafah. Now he is ready to go public.

Bassma Bousel has done some songs before with Tamer Hosny and ever since they have been romantically linked--something they both denied. But then the Arab Spring took over and the Tamer Hosny meltdown has taken phase. Tamer has not appeared in person to confirm the news, I would question the news until he speaks about it--because he can come out and say someone hacked his Facebook and put the video.

Some critics were never happy with Bassma Bousel for making comments and appearing too vivacious in the music video with Tamer Hosny. I think this goes back to her days at Star Academy where Bassma has rubbed some people the wrong way.

Update: I have confirmed that Bassma was with Tamer Hosny in his February 2012 visit to the United States as he toured and stoppled in places like Washington DC.

Arab Singers: Police, Bodyguards And Motorcades

Here are few stories about Arab singers and the security arrangement's that accompanies their visit to any place. I mean we all have known about the bodyguards (beefcakes who have no brains and lots of muscles) who shove people around. But here are more details about the role played by police department in making such entertainers feel secure and feel important.
  1. When Elissa performed in Algeria in the summer of 2012, there were more than 500 police officer present to secure her appearance. The singer met a lot of opposition and online protests, but it seems her concert went well. At the airport she was received with tight security who wanted to make sure nobody harms her. Not to mention that her hotel was surrounded by many many police officers.
  2. Lebanon's Blonde singer Madeline Mattar performed in a Baghdad concert and there she was bused around town in a presidential motorcade. Her concert was to celebrate Arab press, but ti seems the Iraqi press assailed this security measures. She has dozens of police officer around her at all time, and she seems to have ruffled some features by revealing a lot of skin.
  3. Myriam Faris was in Algeria too and there she had more than 150 officer who came from the police department, security companies and volunteers to protest this Lebanese golden girl of pop and dance. Myriam's appearance was not without criticism or protests.
  4. Haifa Wahbe did a concert in Ankara, Turkey where she was jetted by a private plane, received the city mayor and a dozen government officials--she tweeted about it too. While there a seasoned police unit was with Haifa the entire duration of the trip. Haifa was a choice to help promote Arab tourism to this gorgeous city.
